Hey friends, Jiahui posted an article about her experience for the "We Love Singapore Party". For the actual URL. Yesterday evening, in honour of our nation’s birthday, my friend and I went to one of our favourite vegetarian places, Food #03, which is part of Post-Museum. Post-Museum calls themselves “an independent cultural and social space which seeks to examine contemporary life, promote the arts and connect people”. They always have many interesting exhibitions (in fact, they are having a small one right now), so you should check out their website for event calenders and such. One problem is that it’s located all the way in the Jalan Besar/Little India area (yes it IS far, but it’s worth it!). Getting there isn’t too bad, they have quite a few buses (from Bukit Timah, you have 66 and 67. Cabbing isn’t TOO bad either, ~$12 from NP? The address is 107+109 Rowell Road!). They were having some kind of pre-National Day event (aptly named We Love Singapore, haha imaginative). We didn’t really know what to expect, but we made our way there anyway for the food! My friend (let’s call her X because I like that letter) was pretty ravenous because she’d walked all the way there from the nearest MRT (Farrer Park), while my father very kindly decided to drive me all the way there. Thank god; I can’t imagine walking (especially in this humidity!). Oh, and I apologise once again for the low-quality pictures! I’d left my DSLR in my locker in school and I couldn’t get it because the room is locked. So you have to settle for bad, low-res phone images (5.0 megapixels, yeah right).
